Partick Thistle have appointed lifelong supporter Iain Gordon to the club's board of directors. The move was confirmed on Tuesday, with the board citing his extensive commercial and leadership background.
Gordon, who has followed the Jags for over 50 years, was Executive Chairman of a multinational medical research firm before its sale in 2023. He now serves as Chairman of Glasgow-based medical device company Pinpoint Medical. The board said his appointment followed discussions with existing members and trustees, who welcomed his corporate governance experience and clear understanding of the club.
"I have been watching Thistle for over 50 years, firstly with my dad and his pals, then with my own friends and now with those friends and our kids," Gordon said.
He added, "It is a real privilege to have the opportunity to join the board."
The appointment comes as Partick sit third in the Scottish Championship, having taken 12 points from their first seven games.
