Partick Thistle WFC have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Chloe Logan as a player/goalkeeper coach ahead of the 2026-27 Scottish Championship season. The former Celtic shot-stopper, who previously joined the Jags on two emergency loans in 2024, will now take on a dual role at Firhill Stadium. The club finished second in the 2025 table with 66 points (17W-15D-4L) and will look to challenge ST Johnstone, who lead by 11 points.
Who is Chloe Logan?
The 28-year-old goalkeeper is a product of Celtic’s academy, becoming the first player to progress through every age group before making her first-team debut. After a brief stint at Stirling University, she returned to Celtic and established herself as the starting keeper until injuries sidelined her. Logan spent the second half of last season at Motherwell before rejoining Celtic in January.
What does this signing mean for Partick?
Logan’s arrival brings both playing experience and coaching expertise to Partick Thistle. She will work with the club’s young goalkeepers while competing for the starting spot. Manager Gary Holt praised her as an "excellent goalkeeper" who will add depth to the squad. The Jags scored 53 goals and conceded 36 last season, finishing with a +17 goal difference.
What’s next for Partick Thistle?
The club’s next fixture is a home match against Dunfermline on December 5, 2026. Dunfermline currently sit fourth in the Scottish Championship. Logan’s dual role as player and coach could be crucial in shaping the team’s defensive strategy for the upcoming campaign.
